Our Mentoring Program

We remember when we first started our medical billing companies. We remember the type of questions we had, and even though we had a strong support system in other organizations and with each other, it still would have been nice to have a friendly voice to walk us through those difficult steps. We have structured our mentoring program to be that backup support system for you!

Individual One-On-One Phone Mentoring
$75.00 per hour Open to PMRNC subscribers ONLY

Here is what the mentoring program consists of:

  • No long distance, we call you at the set designated appointment time.
  • Tailored setup feedback form for your business for you to follow along
  • Ask us anything! If we don't know, we'll do our very best to get you the answer!
  • Tips, solutions, & discussion on marketing, what works, what doesn't, and how can you improve upon your own marketing efforts!
  • Review/proof your marketing materials

Here is what the mentoring program will NOT consist of:

  • Discussion of software other than software requirements to perform your job. We will not discuss which software is better, which companies are recommended, etc. It is your responsibility to be sure you have researched the various companies out there and utilized the many resources our site has to offer.
     
  • Technical support - we will not provide ANY technical support for your PC or your practice management software. Please consult with your vendors technical support if you need help with your software.
  • Questions about software - We'll be happy to tell you about the various programs out there that are reputable but we will not discuss which are better than others. Review the "How to Demo Your Software Page" This is so that we may remain completely objective and unbiased.

Pricing

Individual mentoring hours $75.00 per hour. - You must have a minimum of 30 days left on your current K&L Subscription to purchase mentoring hours individually.

Subscribers should log into the PMRNC Subscriber area and click on mentoring from the left hand navigation. If appointments are being accepted there will be a link to order. We currently only take on a certain number of mentoree's at a time so that we can devote the necessary time to each. We will have a waiting list for new appointments if we have exceeded our number of mentoree's.

Mentoring Hours - All times are Eastern Standard Time  

Monday - Thursday   9AM to 3pm   5PM to 9PM

Friday - 9AM to 11AM  & 7PM -10PM

K&L's Mentoring program was built with the intention of offering additional support to those who require or prefer ''one-on-one'' support mentoring to start their business or during the setup of their first or existing clients. This IS NOT a training program and should not be used in place of a solid education/training program. For further details, please see our FAQ section on the mentoring program.
 

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Can I utilize my mentoring time any time I choose?

A. Because this will be a tailored service, appointments will be setup for you and our mentors will call you at the appointed time.. We will gladly work towards a schedule compatible to yours as well as our own to accommodate all mentoring participants.  We will have a special email address for you to access if you should need urgent assistance, if we are available we will call you or email you back as soon as possible.

Q. How long will we have?

A. Due to scheduling and trying to accommodate many different schedules you must at least schedule your first mentoring appointment within 30 days of ordering. This means your mentoring profile must be completed as soon as possible. An email is sent to you upon purchasing mentoring hours to direct you to your profile. If you are just purchasing additional hours, you will not need to redo the mentoring profile but must schedule your first appointment with us within 30 days of purchase. If you purchase mentoring hours 30 days prior to your subscription expiring you will need to renew your subscription to carry over any time available.

A. Will you help me find doctors?

Q. No, No, and NO. We are not a marketing firm for medical billing companies. We will support you and offer tips/solutions to help you market your business more effectively but finding clients is something only you can do! We believe in being honest and up front and you will never receive less than that from us. We love to talk about Marketing, and we are more than happy to help you in your marketing efforts!  We'll even review your marketing materials and critique them at no additional cost, we can work with you in putting together the best possible marketing plan for your business.

Q. What are some of the things the phone mentoring will include?

A. Each person, and each business is going to be different, so each phone call is going to be different. Some of the general services we will provide will be customized to meet each person's needs and goals. We will research your area of business and provide you with a custom profile of what you will need to do to start your business; i.e.; business registration, find your local chapter of the BBB, Chamber of Commerce, SBA, etc.  We will review and critique your marketing materials and tell you how we think you can improve on something. We'll go over your means of marketing, and offer you tips and suggestions on solutions right for you! We'll also be available for those new client setup questions if you have already found that first client.

Q. What if during our conversation, I ask something that you need to get back to me about? Will that take up my time?

A. No. If we need to get back to you about something, it will not be charged against the hours you purchased. If for some reason we cannot answer a question you have we will at the very least point you in the right direction to obtain that answer. We will send you an email of your question, along with an answer or directions on how you might go about obtaining that answer.

Q. Will you help with Coding Questions?

A. We will be able to help you with general coding questions, but we will not be available to assist with individual coding issues in regards to claim submissions. Since coding entails a lot of liability, we recommend only your client code the charges given to you. Please do not send us personal or confidential information, we will not be held responsible for violation of privacy by you. If you need us to review EOB's we will do so and direct you on how to de-identify them and fax them to us.

Q. What if I need more time?

A. Simple, just login to the subscriber area, visit the store, and purchase additional sessions there.

Q. What happens if I miss my appointment?

A. We will require at least 2 hours notice prior to your scheduled appointment. If you do not provide us with at least 2 hours notice, your mentoring hours will be decreased by 30 minutes per appointment. If you do however give us at least 2 hours notice, we will just reschedule your appointment and you will not be charged for the time. If for some reason we need to reschedule your appointment or we miss an appointment we'll give you an additional 30 minutes FREE!

Q. Will my mentoring hours ever expire if I don't use them?

A. Your hours will be available for the duration of your subscription. They will expire if your subscription expires.. Renew your subscription and carry-over any un-used hours so long as you have scheduled your first appointment within the 30 days after purchasing.
